PRACTICAL LIFE
SENSORIAL
LANGUAGE
We know when child is born, he has no idea of how to
communicate. He needs to develop his language. He learns his
language only through listening, observing mouth movements.
We can observe this babbling of the child even before he talks.
This is a clear evidence of the child observation power. The
more you give to the child in this age, the more the child
absorbs. That is why we do more of spoken first and then go to
reading and writing. Spoken is activity based and sensorial. We
give a clear idea about what is needed to write, speak, and read.
We give sound of each alphabet, attach them to symbols
(alphabets), then we encourage child to write.
MATHEMATICS
Mathematics is integral part of our life because every discipline
of our life is connected to math in some way. We cannot
function without mathematics in our life. Math is working in
abstract. Mathematical mind allows our intelligence to work in
abstract, create, imagine and predict. Because of this nature we
are able to create such phenomenal creations. As the child is
sensorial learner, we give math in a sensorial way. We give the
idea of units, Idea of zero, idea of units coming together to make
a quantity, idea of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
Children make their own numbers, control their own errors
which makes them independent.
